To wrap up the year, we at Tajfun have prepared something truly special – a surprise that will excite our loyal users and, hopefully, catch the attention of many new ones too. At the end of October, we slowly started revealing what our development engineers have been intensely working on over the past few years. Something completely new. A machine that opens the door to the wood-processing industry – a field where Tajfun has not made its mark until now.

The result?
A brand new, one-of-a-kind machine that’s everything you’d expect from Tajfun – technologically advanced and incredibly appealing:
Tajfun CUBE

So, what exactly is CUBE?

We gathered some first impressions and feedback from our team – those who helped create, present, or witness the birth of this new chapter in the Tajfun story – at this year’s ECOMONDO trade fair in Italy, where CUBE made its public debut.

This is Tajfun’s first step into a completely new field. What was it like when CUBE was revealed to the public for the first time?

I have to admit, my initial feelings were mixed. With this chipper, we were entering an entirely new industry – something unfamiliar. But I knew we had developed another outstanding machine: big, powerful, packed with innovative features, and – let’s be honest – great to look at. All of that gave us the confidence and courage to present it.

Any early doubts quickly faded as visitors started reacting. They admired it, compared it with machines they already use, and immediately began pointing out details they considered strong advantages – especially in areas where other machines often fall short.

The Ecomondo fair primarily focuses on recycling and waste management, so at first, I wasn’t sure if our new wood chipper, the Tajfun CUBE, would reach the right audience there. But the response turned out to be fantastic – the machine caught the eye of many visitors, especially those working with forestry and wood biomass, not just waste management. Among them were several long-time users of our LIV cranes, particularly from Trento and Calabria – regions where forestry plays a big role. Two potential customers even showed serious interest in expanding their equipment with the CUBE.

Developing the CUBE involved a long and in-depth effort from our R&D team. What was the biggest challenge in designing a machine for a completely new segment?

The main challenge was to design a machine that’s universal enough to meet the needs of various markets, while also satisfying the expectations of the most demanding users. With machines like this, reliability and easy maintenance are key. That’s why we focused on a robust structure, clear component layouts, and design solutions that allow quick and efficient maintenance – even in tough field conditions.

What do you think impresses visitors the most when they see the CUBE in person – its power, design, or something else?

Honestly, a bit of everything. People were really interested in the product video playing on the TV screens. When we showed them real-life footage on tablets – with the CUBE processing a mix of materials like logs, branches, forestry residue, pallets, even cardboard – they were even more impressed. Many recognized their own day-to-day challenges in what they saw.

Smart features that save time, like quick and easy screen changes, externally accessible rotor bearings, and the machine’s overall versatility for different tasks, definitely increased interest.

And we also gave our visitors something to think about – a glimpse of our next innovation, still under wraps… but coming soon.

CUBE is our first step into the world of wood biomass. What does this step mean for Tajfun and our users?

CUBE marks the beginning of a new chapter for Tajfun. We’re now stepping into sectors and markets where we may not have been well known before. With this machine, we’re pushing boundaries and strengthening our global presence. For our users, CUBE offers a reliable, technologically advanced solution for wood biomass – backed by Tajfun’s experience and quality.

Tajfun has been known for decades as an innovator in forestry machinery. What makes the CUBE a “true Tajfun”? What sets it apart from the competition?

Tajfun has long been a leading name in European forestry machinery, and CUBE not only adds to our product range but elevates it to a new level. What really sets us apart is our “less is more” approach. We deliberately left out unnecessary components that don’t serve the machine’s main function, while still maintaining a high level of user comfort and reliability. The result is a tough, easy-to-use, and efficient machine that truly reflects the Tajfun philosophy.

Tajfun CUBE isn’t just a new machine – it’s a symbol of progress.
It represents a bold vision of the future, where a tradition of reliability meets innovation and new opportunities.

The first step has been taken. The CUBE story is just getting started.
