This summer was also marked by several new additions to the Tajfun product range, which received awards at the AGRA fair on Saturday, 22 August. As one of the largest economic events in Slovenia and this part of Europe, the fair once again confirmed its importance by bringing together 1,690 exhibitors from 36 countries and more than 90,000 visitors.

More efficiency in the forest – award-winning EGV 65 AHK and EGV 85 AHK

Among the innovations are two new versions of the EGV AHK hydraulic forestry winch with a movable butt plate, available for the EGV 65 AHK and EGV 85 AHK models. The movable butt plate enables more efficient work in the forest by making it easier to stack timber, anchor the winch and transport logs or other loads. The operator can control the butt plate directly from the tractor cab, making it especially practical and functional. It can be used in both lighter and more demanding working conditions. During development, special attention was also paid to the overall weight of the final product, which is only minimally higher than that of the standard version. If you are looking for even greater productivity when working with your forestry winch, the new version is the right choice.

Both models were awarded a Silver Medal for their innovation.

CUBE PRO 660 L – More than just a cube

Our gold champion is the CUBE PRO 660 L wood chipper, which proudly carries both a Gold Medal and the Quality Champion certificate.

One of the key advantages of the chipper is its modularity. The frame has been designed to allow adaptation to different configurations – tractor-mounted, truck-mounted, trailer-mounted or stationary. It can also be equipped with different types of cranes.

Robustness and technical precision were also among the main priorities during development. In addition to the use of durable Hardox steel, particular attention was paid to positioning exposed hydraulic components and other vulnerable parts inside the frame. This approach also shaped the distinctive design of the chipper, which resembles a cube – and ultimately inspired its name: CUBE.

The heart of the machine has also been further developed. It features the new geometrically optimized SmartCut rotor (SC), which contributes to a cleaner cut, fewer dust particles and the production of high-quality wood chips in sizes from G50 to G100. Users can now also choose the HeavyCut rotor (HC), featuring double-mounted knives. This version is better suited to industrial applications, particularly for processing pallets and other waste material, producing chip sizes from G30 to G50.Even greater chipping efficiency has been achieved through the implementation of dedicated electronics, which also control the automatic feeding system.

This is the first wood chipper of its kind to be fully developed and manufactured in Slovenia. The awards are a recognition of hard teamwork, Tajfun’s continuous investment in development and our commitment to quality.

Four awards at this year’s Agra confirm the direction Tajfun has been following for decades – developing machines that combine robustness, well-engineered technical solutions and the real needs of users. The Silver Medals for the new EGV AHK models and the Champion of Quality title for the CUBE PRO 660 L are therefore, above all, an encouragement for us to continue innovating.
